Brain health has become a global priority in the field of human health. In 2022, the China Brain Health Initiative (CBHI) was launched under the guidance of the National Health Commission of China. This initiative was a joint effort by the Chinese Society of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Health Management within the Chinese Medical Association, along with several National Medical Centers, including Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Shanghai Huashan Hospital, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, Peking University Sixth Hospital, the China Chronic Disease Center, and the Shanghai Medical Innovation & Development Foundation.
The CBHI aims to promote brain health through public education, the establishment of brain health centers, cognitive screening and intervention, technological and industrial innovation, as well as international collaboration and cooperation.
